Ms. Amanda-Jo Hedgepeth, a resident of Edenton, NC, tragically passed away on December 20, 2024, due to complications related to asthma. She was born on November 17, 1978, in Passaic, NJ, to Jolene Carolyn Rizzoli-Messineo.

Amanda embraced life wholeheartedly, consistently integrating her faith in God into her decision-making. Her love for family and her commitment to serving the elderly were boundless. Following in her mother's footsteps, she engaged in ministry and cherished camping excursions with fellow Christians. She studied nursing and recently passed her courses to become a licensed nurse.

Family members such as her cousin, Marleen McCarthy fondly recalls Amanda in her youth, characterized by her strawberry blond hair, infectious smile, and the Love she had for Italian Chicken Parmigiana prepared by her mother.

She is survived by her children: Virginia Kingston, Josephina Hedgepeth, Jeorgia Hedgepeth, Benigno Hedgepeth and Jiovanna Hedgepeth, as well as her two siblings, William Hedgepeth and Angela Hedgepeth.

Memorial will be held 11:00 a.m. on January 25, 2025 at Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church at 1614 Virginia Rd. Edenton, NC 27932.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
