Ms. Durrene Barnes, age 66, of Rocky Mount NC transitioned on September 25, 2026 in the comfort of her home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
