Ms. Ellen Ruth Staton, age 79, transitioned on October 10, 2023 at Rocky Mount Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount, NC.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Marks Chapel Baptist Church, 2355 Leggett Road, Rocky Mount, NC.

Pastor Douglas Leonard will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Hinton Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Marks Chapel Baptist Church.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
