Howard "Runt" Whitfield Jr

April 6 1965- May 15, 2025

Howard fought a short but intense battle with cancer and passed away on May 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Howard "Buddy" Whitfield Jr., and his mother, Grace Woodard Bland. All lives are cut short by the thief known as cancer.

He leaves behind a large loving family that includes his wife:Crystal Whitfield, children: Summer Whitfield, Shannon(Brandon) Whitfield, Brandy (Adam) Boyette, Zachary (Chelsea) Whitfield, Miracle Whitfield, and step kids: TJ and Christopher Merchant. He has 12 grandchildren who will miss him deeply along with his brother Douglas Whitfield, sister Billie Jo Whitfield, and brother Brian Allen Whitfield along with several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Every life that was touched by Runt will never be the same. The world will be a darker place without him yelling "Hey Baby" to
us all. We can find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and singing with his baby boy Buddy.
