Mr. James Arthur "Scoonbug" Pitt, age 56, transitioned on April 19, 2022 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Ray of Hope Christian Center, 12120 Fisher Road, Whitakers, NC.

Reverend Marion Ricks will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow at Red Hill Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
