Mr. Jessie Clinton "Jay" Barnes, age 78, transitioned on July 9, 2022 at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Contending For The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC.

Bishop Henry Cox will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
