Mr. John Earl Hales of Philadelphia, PA formerly of Rocky Mount, NC, age 70, transitioned on October 18, 2024, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Matthews Family Mortuary, 1000 North Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount N.C. 27804

Rev. George Batts Officiating.

Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Nashville, NC.

Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
