Mr. Johnnie James Jr., age 70, transitioned on November 17, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Higher Ground Ministries, 500 Peachtree Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Pastor Connie Moore will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
