Mr. Joe "Speedy" Sweet Jr. age 64, transitioned on March 20, 2026 in the comfort of his home surrounded by loving family.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Ray of Hope Christian Center, 12120 Fisher Road, Whitakers, NC 27891.

Bishop Antoine Brown will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Shiloh Church Cemetery in Whitakers, NC.

Visitation will be held on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
