Mrs. Elsie Davis Bowens, age 91, transitioned on June 11, 2026 at Nash UNC Health Care.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 305 Halifax Road, Rocky Mount, NC.

Reverend Milton Batts will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Stoney Creek Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
