Mrs. Phyllis Denise James, age 61, transitioned on June 13, 2020 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Abundant Life Ministries, 500 Peachtree Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Elder Oscar Gore of Greater Joy Church will deliver the eulogy.

Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
