Retired Police Chief Willie Russell Williams, Sr. age 83, of Wilson, NC, transitioned on May 30, 2026 in the comfort of his home surrounded by loving family.

Funeral Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at L.N. Forbes Original FWB Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street SE, Wilson NC.

Reverend H. Maurice Barnes will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 209 Pender Street East, Wilson, NC. Omega Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. 

Public Viewing will be held on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at L.N. Forbes Original FWB Tabernacle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you contribute to an organization of your choice in his memory.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
