Mr. Ronald "Big Jim" Sharpe, age 72, transitioned on January 4, 2026 at Nash UNC Health Care.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2141 Cokey Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.

Reverend Tyrone Sharpe will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Interment will follow at Marks Chapel Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
