Ms. Shirley Mae Lucas, age 79, transitioned on July 19, 2025 at Nash UNC Health Care surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Abundant life Ministries, 734 Falls Road, Rocky Mount, NC.

Pastor J. Russell Harris will deliver words of comfort to the family.

Entombment will follow at Gardens of Gethsemane.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Family Mortuary.

Final rites and professional arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Family Mortuary.
