Crystal, a native of the town of Pinetops, North Carolina, has been in funeral service for over 14 years. She has been licensed as a Funeral Director by the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service. She holds an Associate in Science degree in Business Administration from Edgecombe Community College. Crystal is a proud member of the Eastern District Funeral Directors and Morticians Association where she serves as the President, Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of North Carolina, and the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association. In addition to those memberships, Crystal is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, where she serves on the Board of Trustees as the Vice President. Besides work, Crystal is happily married to Lenston D. Marrow; proud mother to Lennyx, Tyler and Janiyah. She attends Greater Joy Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina under the leadership of Bishop Shelton C. Daniel.

Jevard has a heart for helping people in various capacities, which makes him an asset to Matthews Family Mortuary to guide families into healing after the loss of a loved one.

At Greater Mount Herman, Jean serves as the Administrative Assistant. She is married to Patrick E. Pryor; together they have 5 kids, 21 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Jean received her GED from Edgecombe Technical Community College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She is currently pursuing Nursing Education.

Latricia is a born and raised native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and a graduate of Barton College. She is the proud mother of Kayla, Jada, and Amari. Latricia is a Registered Nurse and has currently been serving in that role for 12 years. She is employed full-time at Brekenridge Retirement Center as a Nursing Director and Nash Healthcare Systems as a PRN staff nurse. Latricia is a member of Word Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Pastor James Gailliard. Latricia’s experience in medical, oncology, hospice, geriatric, and surgical nursing attribute to the mission of compassion expected at Matthews Family Mortuary. She is honored to serve the people and the community at any capacity.

Joey is a Rocky Mount, North Carolina native. He is retired from the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office. He served in law enforcement for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Joey is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He proudly owns Grace and Mercy Removal Services and is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service as a transporter. Joey has 13 plus years of experience in the funeral industry serving a countless number of families in need. He is the father of Deboris, Sidorayon, and Joernest. Joey is a musician and trustee at Walters Chapel United Holy Church in Hollister, North Carolina.

Rashad was born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where he received his forma education at Nash Central High School. During his senior year at Nash Central High School, he discovered his love for Dentistry, where he was accepted into the DAT (Dental Assistant Training) program at Comprehensive Dental Center of North Carolina. Rashad graduated top of his class and because of his hard work and dedication he was offered a career at Comprehensive Dental Center of North Carolina as a Dental Assistant II. January 1, 2018 he was offered the Lead Dental Assistant position where he would work as one of the supervisors. Rashad is ready and eager to help and serve at Matthews Family Mortuary along side his fellow colleagues, to assure that every family’s loved one is remembered in a special way!

After graduating from high school Tyler attended Winston Salem State University for three years before leaving to work for UPS. Currently a hub Supervisor for UPS, Tyler is completing his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He loves attending his church and playing sports outside of work.

Marilyn Person Turner is a native of Enfield, NC. She is the daughter of Joyce Bobbitt Person and the late Harold Person. Marilyn is a graduate of Enfield High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Winston-Salem State University and Masters Degree from Cambridge College. Marily is also a member of Enfield Roanoke Rapids Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. She also Attends St. Paul Baptist Church, Enfield, NC. Marilyn is the proud mother of Ryan Turner, mother-in-law of Demetria and grandmother of Kirsten. She is Retired from NC Department of Public Safety and brings 10 plus years of funeral experience.

Bishop Devin C. Pickett Sr is the son of the late Elder Oscar K. Pickett Sr and Thelma Wooten Pickett of Maple Hill, North Carolina. He was called to preach at the age of 9 and preached his initial sermon in August of 1977 during a revival at St. Paul United Holy Church Maple Hill NC. He received his first ministerial license at the age of 11 from the Southern District Convocation. He received his first pastoral appointment in September of 1999 at the age of 22.


After his faithful and dedicated service within the sub-district and southern District Convocation he was appointed as District Elder in September 1998. Bishop Devin C. Pickett Sr is currently pastoring Saint John United Holy Church, LaGrange, North Carolina. He has pastored for 32 years and in those he has pastored the following churches: Gethsemane United Holy Church, Hampstead North Carolina, Tabernacle Holiness United Holy Church Whiteville, North Carolina, and St. Matthew United Holy Church Burgaw, North Carolina.


For 19 years he served as a District Elder of the Southern District Convocation and member of the Board of Presbytery where he has served as chairman for 10 years. Bishop Picket has served in the following positions in the Original United Holy Church International before the Reunification of the United Holy Church of America in 2000. General Vice President of YPHA, Southern District youth convention fieldworker, Carolina District YPHA President, Vice President of the Carolina District Union and has served on numerous committees within the district.


Bishop Pickett is known for his untiring dedication, faithful service, wisdom and humbleness of spirit. The Lord has anointed and blessed Bishop Pickett tremendously to preach in many places. Preaching in South Africa was one of his greatest experiences . Through his preaching and teaching many lives have been changed and touched. He enjoys preaching and teaching the gospel.


Bishop Pickett believes that one must treat others right because it’s the right thing to do and that one never knows whose help they might need along the way. He is a 1986 graduate of Pender High School, Burgaw, North Carolina, 1987 graduate of Harris Barber College, Raleigh, North Carolina and 1991 graduate of United Christian College, Goldsboro, North Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Theology degree.


In May of 2013 Bishop Pickett was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree from the United Christian College for his hard work, faithfulness, dedication and loyalty within the Southern District Convocation of the United Holy Church of America. In 2016 Bishop Devin C. Pickett Sr was elected as 2nd Vice President of the Southern District Convocation Goldsboro NC. In 2017 he became Bishop-Elect in the United Holy Church of America . Bishop Pickett was consecrated Bishop in May of 2018 in the United Holy Church of America.


Bishop Pickett was elevated to the Vice President position of the Southern District Convocation due to the death of the Vice President in January of 2019. February 2021 due to the death of the President he was elevated to the position of President of the Southern District Convocation Goldsboro NC. March 2021 at the Bishops Council of the United Holy Church of America Bishop Pickett was elected to serve on the General Board of Bishops for the United Holy Church of America, Inc.


He has been married to the lovely Elder Sharon McAllister Pickett formerly of Durham, North Carolina since March 21, 1992. They have three children Devin Jr, Daviava and Daveon . The family currently resides in Princeton, North Carolina.


Bishop Pickett is Saved, Sanctified and Holy Ghost filled and determined to serve God with all his heart.

Delbra McIntyre is a licensed minister of the Southern District of the United Holy Church of America. She serves as an associate minister of the New Stoney Hill Holy Church. She is currently employed as the Director of the Foster Grandparent Program at the Wayne Action Group for Economic Solvency (WAGES) in Goldsboro, North Carolina and in Wilson, North Carolina. These two assignments offer valuable insight into the heart and soul of Delbra as they illustrate her life-long desire to be of service to others. Before embarking upon her work with WAGES, Delbra was a Social Worker at the Wayne County Department of Social Services, retiring after 26 years of service. Desiring to further serve her community, Delbra sought to assist families during one of their lowest points of life, the passing of loved ones. Her cousin, the late Apostle D. L. McIntyre, insisted that Delbra join the first team of employees when he launched his journey as owner of McIntyre Funeral Home. Taking her interest in funeral service further, under the mentorship of Apostle McIntyre and Mr. Carlton L. Stevens, Sr., Delbra became a licensed Funeral Director in 2009. She continued her funeral service career under the tutorage of the late, Rev. Ernie Haskins at the Haskins Funeral Home

and Cremations in Goldsboro, NC. Delbra holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Diploma with High Honor from the Funeral Service Program of Fayetteville Technical Community College and Ministerial Certification from the Ministers Training Program of the United Holy Church of America. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Delbra is currently a valued team member of Matthews Family Mortuary in Rocky Mount, NC and Matthews-Marrow Memorial Chapel of Goldsboro, NC.

Pastor Scottie L. Rodgers, the son of the late Mrs. Adell Rodgers and the late Mr. Ernest Broadhurst, was born September 17, 1962 in Goldsboro, NC. He attended the Goldsboro City Schools and graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1980.  Upon graduation he enrolled in NC

A&T State University located in Greensboro, NC, where he majored in accounting and minored in Banking and Finance.

At an early age, he discovered a love for music and began to develop the gift God had instilled in him. Through the years, Pastor Rodgers has been privileged to direct and travel with many choirs, mainly in the North Carolina and Virginia area. Pastor Rodgers acquired a special love

for quartet singing. He has also sung with and assisted in organizing many quartets in North Carolina and Virginia area.  Pastor Rodgers is also a songwriter and had the privilege of recording his music with different choirs and quartets. Pastor Rodgers, while a young lad, knew there was a call upon his life to preach the gospel. Many times when his family visited his home, the children played church, and Pastor Rodgers

would always play the part of the preacher.   Early in life he became affiliated with his family church Woods Chapel FWB Church in Goldsboro

NC, under the leadership of the late Bishop WH Mitchell. It was there he gained his youthful knowledge of Christ.   Later in life he moved to Newport News VA, and became affiliated with the New Hope Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. I.T. Harris.  During this time frame of his life the call of God began to lay heavily upon his heart.  He then decided to move back to Goldsboro NC and at this time he became affiliated with the Pentecostal United Holy Church under the leadership of the late Bishop S.D. Clemons. In September 1994, he acknowledged and accepted the calling that was upon his life. In December 1994, he was privileged to deliver his first sermon under the leadership of the late Bishop SD Clemons. In September 1995 nine months after delivering his initial sermon, he received his first pastoral appointment the Pleasant Plain United Holy Church in Ayden, NC, where he presently serves. He also at this present time serves as pastor of the Holy Temple United Holy Church Calypso NC.  He also served as pastor of the Evening Star United Holy Church in Dunn, NC from 1996 to 2006. With an eagerness to learn more about Christ and His Gospel, he enrolled in the United Christian College in Goldsboro, NC. He completed that course of study and earned a Bachelor

of Theology in 1998. Presently, he is enrolled in the Covenant Theological Seminary. He also holds a Diploma in Funeral Directing from Fayetteville Technical College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Pastor is Rodgers is an energetic and busy man who has a great love for the body of Christ and

the young people.   Pastor Rodgers has served in many capacities in the United Holy Church. He has held positions on the general and local district levels as well as the sub district level. Pastor Rodgers has served as President, Vice President and 2nd Vice President of the Eastern

District Young People Holy Association of the Southern District Convocation. He has served as the 2nd Vice President and Vice President of the Eastern District Union of the Southern District Convocation. He has served as the Treasurer of the General Youth Department of the United Holy Church of America Inc. He now presently serves as Treasurer of the Southern District Youth Department, General Treasurer of the United Holy Church of America, Treasurer of the Clinton District Union and recently appointed as District Elder of Eastern District “C” division.

Pastor Rodgers is a 2006 recipient of the Metropolitan Who's Who Among Young Growing Preachers Award.  

He is presently employed at Charles B Aycock High School in Pikeville, NC as an Instructional Assistant for Exceptional Children.  He also serves as Head Junior Varsity Basketball Coach and Head Men's Track Coach. He is also employed part time as a Funeral Attendant and a member of the ministerial staff of Matthew-Marrow Memorial Chapel, Goldsboro, NC. Pastor Rodgers is married to the former Mrs. Tonya Bryant and has one daughter Faith Iliana Rodgers, and two step-sons Reginald and Rodney Powell.

Pastor Dwight L Morrisey, Sr is a native of Warsaw, NC who

presently lives in Goldsboro. He is the youngest son of the

late Macon and Jannie Morrisey. He graduated from James

Kenan High School, class of 1974 and left home to attend

college in Greensboro at NC A&T State University. While

attending school, Elder Morrisey met and married his wife,

Sandi and is the father of two sons. He has always been a

proponent of advanced education and although he left A&T

to care for his wife and children, Mr. Morrisey went back to

college to complete his undergraduate studies at

Fayetteville State University. He graduated Cum Laude in

1991 and went on to complete his graduate degree in

Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University in

1994 where he was a Magnum Cum Laude graduate and a

member of Alpha Kappa Mu and Kappa Delta Pi Honor

Societies.

Elder Morrisey is currently the Pastor of Gospel Light United

Holy Church of America, Incorporated, Mt. Olive, NC where

he has served for the past 33+ years. He has served in many

different capacities with the Clinton District, Southern

District and the General Church. Pastor Morrisey’s

commitment to serving the body of Christ has culminated in

serving as Chief Adjutant of the Southern District, Goldsboro

for several years. It remains his purpose to continue to serve

the children of the Most High with joy and gladness, while

contributing however he can, to his community and the family of God.
